Food Literacy DAYS (Grade 4-7)
at school
Bringing food skills into the classroom! These kits are designed to support students in developing a positive relationship with food by encouraging them to explore food while using their senses, strengthening their food skills, and learning strategies to reduce food waste.
Each kit includes a lesson plan plus all the equipment and ingredients needed to facilitate the lesson, at no cost! The lessons can either be facilitated by one of our Food Skills Coordinators or by a teacher in the classroom. If you know a teacher or educator who would be interested in having the Food Literacy Kits in their classroom, please contact Chris: ctorres@interiorcommuntiyservices.bc.ca
