Thrill of the Grill June 25th, 6-8:30 pm:

Join Chef David to explore techniques and some of his favourite recipes to help you master the "Q".  You'll prepare three recipes using seafood, vegetables, and meat so that you can expand your repertoire and make the best use of your grill this summer!

Garden Workshop (All free to attend):

  • July 23rd 4-5:30pm: Composting: Learn about backyard composting with Marcia Dick from the City of Kamloops and tour our learning garden to see how we are incorporating compost in the centre’s garden.

  • July 4th, 10-11am: Medicinal herbs: Learn about common medicinal garden herbs, their uses, and how to grow and harvest them.

The first three Culinary Classes were a huge hit! Participants have explored new recipes, expanded their skills and made some new friends. The next date has been set:

  • July 23rd: Culinary Class, 6-8:30pm. “Summer Sizzle”. Stay tuned for more details! Registration $100, funds will directly support the free and accessible programming of the CFC.
