The CFC is thrilled to announce a new schedule of Culinary Classes. Join David Tombs, a well-known local chef, in a hands-on experience. Funds raised from the Culinary Classes will directly support the CFC, a non-profit community centre focused on food security programs.

  • Fee: $100/person to attend

  • Times: 6-8:30 pm

First Bite of Spring April 30th, 6-8:30 pm:

Chef David will lead you through three unique dishes using freshly picked produce from local farms and our own Learning Garden. You'll learn about the ingredients, explore seasoning and optimizing flavours, cooking techniques and tips, as well as plating and presentation ideas.

Fresh From the Garden May 28th, 6-8:30 pm:

Graze the onsite Learning Garden with Chef David to select three ingredients to be the focus of the class. You'll prepare the freshly harvested produce and enjoy samples together to finish the class with a lively discussion about gardening and eating seasonally.

Thrill of the Grill June 25th, 6-8:30 pm:

Join Chef David to explore techniques and some of his favourite recipes to help you master the "Q".  You'll prepare three recipes using seafood, vegetables, and meat so that you can expand your repertoire and make the best use of your grill this summer!
