Food Skills programs

​The food skills programming is designed to enhance kitchen skills, share nutritional information and increase social connections.  A variety of food skills programming is offered throughout the week with each class is designed for different populations.

  • Youth:

    • A welcoming space to help foster a positive relationship with food for youth aged 13 – 19 years old. Registration required, twice a month.

  • Adult:

    • A hands on kitchen to enhance kitchen skills, increase social connections and nutritional information.  Registration required, once a month

  • Community Collaboration:

    • A food skills class in partnership with another social services agency to introduce the CFC and the programs available.

  • Community Inclusion:

    • A class aimed at people who live with diverse abilities as an introduction to healthy cooking and eating. Registration required, once a month.

  • Seniors:

    • Taking place during Friday Socials, participating seniors take part in making a communal lunch for the larger group.  Group is drop in, no registration required.
